Our natural environment is our most prized treasure; guarding it is one of our most solemn responsibilities. I believe that being a good steward of Vermont’s land, water, and creatures will always be the right thing to do. I believe, just as strongly, that protecting our environment makes good business sense. Working to release the raw business potential of our beautiful state will be one of my main priorities in the House — but I know that such advances are only truly valuable when they are made in harmony with nature. Economically speaking, we will see fat years and we will see lean years, but we must ensure that Vermont forever maintains its rugged beauty, a constant incentive to live, work in, and visit our beautiful state.
